Port-O-Call Hotel

We just came back from our 1st trip to OCNJ and our 1st and NOT last time staying at Port-O-Call. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I knew that this was not your typical shore hotel. I worked in the hospitality industry and as my wife says, it past MY test in every way. Haha. The entire hotel was spotless and the staff very friendly and professional. The room was GREAT. Well appointed and very clean and comfortable. We both slept great. Even the elevators were clean and fast. We also love the fact that we were right on the boardwalk but in the quiet part, yet only a few blocks from the shops and food. Can't wait for our next stay!!!

We look forward to our annual October week here. Located on the beach this place is wonderful. I suggest always get the oceanside suite with a balcony. You will love the view. Rooms are retro nice, clean and quiet. Great place to watch the sun rise over the pier. Restaurant is definitely a high point. Breakfast and lunch are served. Great choices and never a bad meal. The staff throughout the property, are wonderful, professional and accommodating. We love it here.

We had a wonderful stay here this holiday weekend. Welcoming staff, clean hotel, good restaurant and cabana food. Sunny pool right on the boardwalk. Also, housekeeping was wonderful. Very friendly and took the time to thoroughly clean the room. Looking forward to our next visit here!

Stephanie, Chris, and the whole front desk team were wonderful. I was there for an event and was so impressed at how attentive the team was. They are not in peak season yet so they are not fully staffed - so you had team members doing several different jobs seamlessly and never hesitating to ask “can I get you anything?” Or “how can I help?” Rooms were spotless and had cute details including the “Welcome to OC” book. Housekeeping teams are so friendly. 10/10 recommend and can’t wait to go back.

I had a lovely holiday season stay for 3 nights. The hotel is beautiful and was decorated for the holidays. Every staff person I met (front desk, housekeeping, restaurant, facilities) was friendly, professional, kind, and extremely accommodating. I'd say the staff members are their greatest asset. Check in and check out was simple and easy. The restaurant (Adelene's) is lovely, with a beautiful ocean view. The food was delicious (they serve breakfast and lunch) and the staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable. I appreciated having a mini-fridge and wonderful ocean view. The choices in TV stations wasn't exactly my taste, but if you are there in season I imagine you don't spend much time in the room anyhow. (TV stations are a very minor observation.) I would recommend the Port-O-Call whether in season or out. However, if you'd like a relaxing get away, definitely consider the off season. The town is very calm and peaceful, and the hotel is a wonderful place to relax.

We’ve stayed here numerous times and absolutely love it. My oldest child is 4 and loves coming to the beach; when we pull into the parking lot, she literally smiles and says “feels like home!”… the entire hotel is beautiful and immaculately clean. The front desk staff is attentive to every need. The food at the hotel restaurant is top notch, plus they offer room service (and we LOVE Kathy!). The rooms are clean and the oceanfront views are perfect. This is our favorite place to stay in OCNJ, and we keep coming back for more!

Great hotel, very clean, located right on the boardwalk and beach. Rooms have balconies with chairs. Free parking.

Outstanding visit! Arrived without a reservation and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us with an oceanfront room despite being almost fully booked. Peggy and Stephanie treated us as valued clients throughout our stay. Room was fresh and beautifully appointed. Excellent rates considering the hotels luxurious accommodations and great location. Restaurant was a real value with fair prices and tasty generous portions. Our new go to spot at the Jersey shore.
